I have been a member for 5 years. Go at least twice a year...have never had a problem booking a time. Find the staff outstanding! Always get a great room at Villa Flamingos. Has been little turn over on staff, and all are pleasent.

Yes, sales staff is aggressive....they are at every

timeshare. The Mexicans are very hard working and try very hard to make a living in this beautiful location. You probably don't like the aggressive shirt sales people on the beach or the night club hawkers downtown. Its part of the country, the more you go, the less you even notice it. Its part of their culture.

If you can't get use to it, probably should try Hawaii. I love these locations and everyone poolside seem to love it as well.

I would like to direct any readers of this posting to go to a website I just published www.universalvacationclubmembers.com and read to your heart's content. It is addressing many issues and concerns with the Villa Group (Developer) and the UVC.

If you are a UVC Member and would like to add your name to my UVC Member mailing list, please contact me via the รขโ‚ฌล“Contact Usรขโ‚ฌย page on the site or send an email to jeffsuomi1@***.com. Jeff Robbins.

TO the persons who bought last year, seems they have cleaned up their act and are no longer lying about the Mexican 5 day law. Two years ago, they not only DID NOT TELL YOU about the law, but LIED about it, stating that I WOULD lose my deposit if I cancelled.

That was a tactic to scare persons. That was told to me on the day I went to cancel by the sales person and the SALES MANAGER. They should be in jail for the *** they were carrying out.

To boot, the company here in the US said they have nothing to do with the sales persons in Mexico. Hmmm, very interesting, got *** written all over it.

I have been able to use my timeshare every year, I can stay extra weeks following the one I had booked, never a problem... soemtimes they do not have my unit but they offer a smaller one...

I read some complains but I am very sure if you read the contract carfulley or if you listened to the presentation carefully there is not controversy... I never exchange my week in VP PV, if i want to go somewhere else I get the escapes at Interval world.... I have been in Hawai for 399 per week ( In Oahu and in Kawaii ), been in Vegas for 174, a many weeks in Mexico for not more than 249.00 USD. I can not get better prices anywhere else..

I know, according to the presentation that Villa del palmar and this timeshare started in 1981, with the Villa del mar resort, them came Villa del palmar Vallarta, them Cabo and their 3 facilities them Villa del palmar flamingos, and know is been built VP Cancun....

Over the years I have found out the Time share works better if you are selfemployed, because to have a garanty on booking a unit you need 9 to 12 months in advance, anything else you have priority.

I can say to .. I can not justified buying 2 timeshares, that ***, with one, you can get anyother resort, you just have to be flexible... I just got nigths at VP for $25.00, All memeber got the email...

Anyone that have problems with UVC, read the fine print and work around it, you bought this to have fun not to be a nightmare...

It will force you at least to have 1 wk of vacations per year... enjoy it....

I'm glad to hear that someone is happy with UVC! We just purchased a time share with them and I didn't have any of the issues that I read about here.

The sales staff, although aggressive, did not misrepresent anything. We were told upfront that this was not an investment purchase and that we would have 5 days to cancel but we would loose our deposit as it was non-refundable. We were told that without 60 days advance reservations there was no gaurantee of availability. We worked with a lovely woman named Valerie at the Villa Palmar.

We felt that they were completely upfront about what we were getting.

Perhaps they've cleaned up their act. I felt comfortable with the transaction and I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I'm questioning this posting as the Villa del Palmar Flamingos was founded in 2004, which is just 4 years ago. I hope this is not from a staff member at UVC as my dealing so far with UVC has demonstrated that the staff at the San Diego headquarters is less than honorable.
